Just watched the replay from last night. Choo Choo took a hard knock from the 1 dog round the first turn. Choo Choo then hit the 8 dog hard and sent him falling. Choo Choo fell wide and out of the camera shot. The 8 dog rolled and got up to continue racing. I didn't see what happened to Choo Choo.

Finger crossed that she is just a little bruised and no damage. I hope someone can let us know how she is.

Yes, hopefully you're right and she was scooped up by a leadout. I remember when I was at The Woodlands we had a dog tumble and actually crash into the fencing at the first turn- he was scooped up before he had a chance to continue the chase (he was uninjured too luckily).

Choo Choo is okay, though somewhat the worse for wear. Cathie said on GT that her foot and wrist were tender, though not swollen today....which is good. Hopefully with a couple of months' R&R, she'll be as good as new.

Bob also heard from Henry yesterday regarding Choo Choo.

"Bill said she had a very sore ankle and a cut on the back of her leg. She'll need lots of rest to recover."

Rest up Choo Choo!

Rest assured, Cathie and Bill will take the very best care of ChooChoo. Indeed, her foot and wrist are sore... Cathie sent me a video clip of her walking in the turnout pen and she was walking VERY gingerly on it. She's a spunky girl and will undoubtedly recover from this mishap.

Not knowing much, I'd say that her being so young.. I dont even think she's 2 yet... should help in her recovery. Also, if I'm not mistaken that if the trouble is ligament problems, with rest and rehab, it should come back stronger.

Hopefully, just a minor setback and she'll enjoy her time off.

Glad to hear she's doing all right -- I saw the results on Rosnet and was extremely worried.

Any word on the other 'hounds involved?
