"Indie" makes her race debut tomorrow - first race on the card at Derby Lane.

I can't wait to see her run - I can only imagine how nervous/excited the Johnson's must be!

Best of luck, Indie - we are all rooting for you!

I just spoke with John. She is in good form and ready to run! We had a minor issue with my FL license, but that has been resolved. Nothing is going to hold her back today!

A great first race from Indie!

She broke well and had the lead some of the way. The 1 dog took over and was never in doubt. Indie ran her heart out though - the line came just in time as she was about to be passed by the 3 dog. It took ages for them to announce the result of the photo-finish and turns out it was a dead-heat for 2nd place!

For those who are signed up to Rosnet, you should be able to view the race replay there.

I actually managed to view the whole race without it breaking up on me for a change.

Hopefully you can see the replay on Rosnet!

The winning dog looked more experienced, and I see he ran his first maiden race at Derby Lane back in December. I think he had a lay-off between now and then, but he certainly had more race experience. Hopefully Indie will be learning with each race and getting her nose in front before long!

Congratulations on your first race as owners!

I am just thrilled she ran in a money position. With as rough of a start as she has had, I worried how today would go for her.

She looks to have the early speed to win her share of races.....she raced as gamely as you could ask, and showed lots of composure when she was passed, keeping to the task at hand, without missing a step.....the 1 dog was too much for all the rest of them, too. A great first race. Attagirl, Becki!

She certainly seems to be over whatever had been bothering her. She knows what she's doing and should break her Maiden sooner rather than later.
