We went to the Woodlands last night, mainly to see Marbles' littermate Simba Umgowah race. It was our second time there, but the first time, they closed early due to extremely heavy rain.
He was awesome!! He raced in the 15th race, which was the last of the night, and he came in second to E's Able who holds the track record. Simba was in the lead until the very end. It was so exciting! The whole night was exciting--we also got to see another littermate, Jet Pack Jill, race (she came in dead last in her race), and a half-sib, Gillyflower, raced as well.
We stood outside for one race, practically right next to the track, at the finish line. I literally had tears in my eyes to see them come flying down the final straightaway. They are simply amazing.
I didn't realize they roo in the starting boxes while they wait to run! Made the hair on my arms stand up--you can feel how excited they are.
Very cool.

Glad you had a good time at The Woodlands - its a nice track, isn't it? Second to E's Able is certainly no disgrace for Simba.
My friends at Full House Racing had four winners there last night too - the 'Bello' dogs were on form

Anyone wanting to visit The Woodlands you are certainly welcome! Love to have guests! Drop me a line next time one of you guys come to visit and maybe I can give ya the tour around the place. Simba races in Heartland kennel. I remember that race. Simba is a big black boy and is an extremely talented athlete. Gillyflower and Jet Pack Jill I believe are also little black girls, not quite as fast as Simba though...
