Apparently, the busy prime movers of the anti-racing business are not merely content with the fact that Plainfield is closing.....they feel that they must also scourge the greyhound professionals there with all the panic that they can possibly create among the public, in order to seek out donations for their individual businesses. This is an old con, and it has been ongoing since the formation of the anti-racing industry.

We at RFA, are planning a fundraiser, whereby donations will be made directly to the involved adoption group. As soon as we have designed the pro-forma, we will let everyone know how they can best help the Plainfield greyhounds.

Rest assured that donating to agenda driven groups, who are promoting (or repeating) hateful lies, hysteria, anti-racing bigotry and anarchy, in order to benefit and enrich themselves by this turn of events, is not the way to best help.

I just spoke with the adoption coordinator at Plainfield, and her superior-----there is no reason to panic----the dogs are fine. There is no current timetable----or deadline--- for the greyhounds to be relocated, and there are emphatic laws against euthanizing healthy greyhounds in the state of CT.

I am awaiting a return call from the Operations MGR at Plainfield, wherefrom I hope to have the necessary information so that we can begin our RFA fundraiser.

Please be patient. We will all get a chance to help.

A press release from the track came out yesterday, and this is now on our front page.

Unfortunately some peope have seen fit to use the Plainfield situation to spread their anti-racing agenda. Their version of events has now spread far and wide and caused a great deal of panic and confusion.
If you hear any such nonsense then please direct people to the press release for the facts of the situation.
The press release can also be found at the GPA website which is www.greyhoundpets.org

Thanks for putting that info on the page, Angela.....I called again today, again missing Karen Keelan .....I left number and email, and web address with the people there, and hopefully we'll hear from them soon enough.

Tomorrow thru Saturday, I will be at work for 12-14 hours, and will have limited or no access to the internet.....so I'll contact someone if I manage to hear anything....if anyone else would like to try and get a hold of her, please do so....just explain what we do....
