Caroline, remember that RFA is based on the winnings of dogs currently racing. It was designed to give an adoption group a stream of income over a long period of time. It wasn't designed for an emergency like this.

It looks like Penny of Pups Without Partners is going to be very active in this adoption process and PWP is a RFA beneficiary.

When RFA gets big enough to have its own slush fund it would be able to assist in short-term situations like this.

We are in the process of trying to develop a fundraiser for the Plainfield dogs. We are waiting to hear from the CT folks and the track and racing authorities, as to how we can best be of assistance.

Ceelo.....do us and yourself a favor and go to Greytalk and begin a thread asking if there anything that those great benefactors of racing greyhounds at Grey2K can do to help....this is what they have been hoping for. Let's see what kind of response you get.
