I was wondering talking to a friend with RFA and this idea formulated. I watch Jax on line, and it is noce to hear everytime Mandys Choo Choo wins, she gets an announcement promoting adoption. This is great promotion, but I was thinking, to promote RFA even further, if the tracks would allow us to provide a full set of racing jackets (1-8) for each track with the words RACE FOR ADOPTION embroidered over the number for our RFA dogs to wear when they race.

Its a nice thought - somehow I'm not sure the tracks would allow it though (I might be wrong......anyone else have any thoughts?). Just thinking if they allowed us to do that it would open the floodgates for others to want something on their race blankets and where would it end......the ginny pit might become chaos with all the personalized jackets!
We certainly need to do more work on promotion though. I'm glad the announcer at Jax says something! I've always missed that as I usually watch the replays on their website. I will have to try to catch a live race, once Choo Choo gets better.

Pat,
Welcome. An interesting idea.I think we need to defer this to Dennis for his expertise.
I think it is a great idea, but foresee problems with the leadouts putting the wrong silk on the wrong dog.
Not sure which track, but I think one or two announce an RFA dog when running.

I don't have any particualr expertise on racing jackets, Bob....but there are different sizes of them.....I like the idea, but I think it would be a tough sell. In a perfect world, every racing jacket would say raceforadoption on it.
