Just wondering if there are future plans to solicit sponsors for some of the other RFA hounds such as Whistler's Run, Whistler's Miss, etc?

Definitely! We will be canvassing NGA members from coast to coast with a flyer explaining the benefits of RFA.

I think Becky meant are we going to have sponsor forms up for Miss and Run Wink?

No intention at the moment - their race earnings are already being divided between SEGA/PWP and GPA-EC though. Those groups are already beneficiaries of sponsorships on Whistler's Betty and the Happy Holidays Hound respectively (sponsorship remains open on these dogs). The earnings from all Larry's hounds in RFA are being pooled and split 3 ways at the moment.

If we sought sponsors we would first have to choose which groups benefit (from the three above as they already get the dog's earnings) and try to keep it simple to avoid people writing multiple checks...!

So nothing at the moment, but you never know....things are always evolving!

Just to clarify...did Larry just add the additional dogs just to "sweeten the pie"? Is it correct that the sponsorships and Larry's matching contributions do bring in the majority of the money to the groups?

Broodmama,

Yes ,Larry was being generous with the additional donations of Whistler's Miss and Run.Now we have racers in all three of the C & C kennels.

To answer your other question there are no good records of what percentage is , or will be earned by races vs. sponsorships at this time.

2004 had two sponsor drives and therefore the total earnings were skewed in this direction.74% of the earnings were from sponsorships.

Whistler's Betty, the first dog did not have her first RFA race until July 31.Miss and Run did not come on board until December.

I think 2005 will be more indicative of how earnings will break down.

We have detailed records of all earnings.Hope this answers your question.

Bob

Thanks Bob for the information. I was curious about how RFA is evolving. I had originally assumed that sponsorships would be solicited for all hounds.
